Product Description KitchenAid's Mini Food Processor is so versatile, it can handle up to 3-cups of ingredients for salsas, sauces, relishes, dips, pesto, baked goods and much more. Use the pulse control for precise operation. A locking domed lid includes a through compartment for adding ingredients as you go and the "reverse spiral action" stainless steel blade pulls food down into the blade and ensures uniform chopping throughout, so you will hardly ever find yourself scraping down the bowl. The KitchenAid quality is especially evident in its construction -- a heavy base adds stability while your processor is in use and the sealed housing reduces noise. When you're done processing, simply wipe off the seamless base and put the other parts in the dishwasher for cleaning. Chopper even comes with a spatula.
Amazon.com Review With a 3-cup work bowl and 240 watts of power, this chopper is ideal for small jobs and for making sauces, frostings, and dressings. The stainless-steel blade's reverse spiral action pulls food down, minimizing scraping and producing uniform chopped meat, nuts, cheese, vegetables, herbs--all the many foods for which the chopper is intended. For adding ingredients while the chopper is running, the lid has two compartments, one for dry items and the other for wet. For precise control, the chopper's electronic pulse pad responds instantaneously. The heavy power base provides stability and is seamless, making cleanup a simple matter of wiping the base and placing all the parts in the dishwasher. The chopper stands just 9-1/2 inches high and has cord storage inside the base. A stiff spatula is included. Should the chopper fail during its first year, KitchenAid's total replacement warranty guarantees delivery of another machine. --Fred Brack

An explosion and a puff of smoke February 8, 2010 Trugold I bought this chopper on Jan 27th and thought it looked a little flimsy, but had faith that it might work. On Feb 7th I tried bread dough in it. No kidding - there was a puff of smoke, a flash of light, and it died. I am taking it back to Target and getting a Cuisinart. Complete garbage.
Does everything I want February 3, 2010 Mathilda S. Golding (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am glad that I went with Kitchen-aid, a brand that I trust. This little processor does everything and it's so easy to clean! It purees veggies and finely chops meat. I bought this to make baby food and it's so much better then the ones they make for baby food. They're just not as strong as a regular one. Definitely worth the money.
Food Chopper February 1, 2010 S. C. Taylor (Florida) Purchased after very little product research. While the chopper does an excellent job, the safety features make it somewhat difficult to use.
In the trash where it belongs January 26, 2010 Daddyo What a piece of junk this is ! --- My wife bought this and used it for exactly one month to chop up soft food for baby food. Sounds like a tough job, huh ? --- Well it was for this piece of garbage which stopped working one month after my wife had purchased this . Although she had subsequently discarded the box and sales receipt; I called Kitchen Aid who did not even want to hear about my plight or even examine this defective unit which cosmetically looked like it was just taken out of the box. I think my wife used this perhaps a dozen times before it died completely. I buried it in the trash where it belongs. I will never again buy a Kitchen Aid product like this at any price.
BEWARE !!!! - Now I see what everybody meant about a " bad button " ! --- I experienced the same problem that many other people did. This model obviously IS a real lemon !!!
With all of these similar complaints you KNOW Kitchen Aid is aware of this " bad button " problem but has obviously chosen to ignore it and look the other way.
I wish I had read about the " bad button " BEFORE I purchased this hunk of junk.........
You'd think after all of these complaints and bad reviews about the " bad button " on this machine that Kitchen Aid would wise up and either recall, offer to repair or just manufacture a new model with an " operative button " that won't die after one month.
Good little chopper January 21, 2010 Donna Craig (Silver Spring, Md United States) I use this mainly to chop up onions and it does a great job.
I also use this to chop cabbage for cole slaw. It makes it fine but it sure saves time & energy by doing it by hand.
